Midwifery care, farmhouse environment.
Prenatal visits are encouraged during the developmental stages of your baby. We take the time to address your physical and emotional needs to ensure that your prenatal experience is one that you'll enjoy. Services during your visit can include urine assessments, blood pressure testing, nutritional counseling, and fetal heart measurements.
When labor begins, please call. Once active labor patterns are established we will come to your home. Your blood pressure, temperature, pulse, intake/output, and the baby’s heart tones will be monitored regularly. You will have the freedom to move, eat, and drink as you desire. Our goal is to make this time calm and peaceful and to treat you and your loved ones with honor and respect.
To ensure that you receive the best possible care for you and your newborn baby, we will stay in close contact with you after your birth to provide support, physical exams, assist with breastfeeding, and answer any questions you may have. All of these services can be provided to you in the comfort of your home.
Prenatal care is offered at our family farm in Cullman, Alabama. Our farm is located two miles off Interstate 65. Enjoy a glimpse of homestead family life when you come for your prenatal and postpartum appointments.
Here you are likely to see us milking cows, collecting eggs, or chasing goats. After prenatals feel free to pet the horses, rabbits, pigs, and pick some fresh herbs from the garden.
